Two hundred procedural worlds. Not one of them is a video — every frame is an equation solved for every pixel, in time with the music around you.

What it actually is
There are no video files in Antinode, no textures and no image assets. A staircase that climbs forever is three lines of arithmetic in cylindrical coordinates. This is how demos fit a world into sixty-four kilobytes — and it is why two hundred of them fit in one app that installs in seconds and runs with no network at all.
Most visualisers pulse on the beat. Antinode redistributes time between the beats: scene time runs slow through the hold and springs on the hit. The average over a beat is exactly one, so the world never drifts from the music.
A 2048-point transform, spectral flux split across three bands with an adaptive threshold, autocorrelation for tempo and a phase locker to hold it — all on your device, in a few milliseconds a frame.
The microphone is analysed where it is heard and never recorded, never stored, never sent. No account, no server, and it works with the network switched off entirely.
The catalogue
Impossible architecture — a Penrose staircase, an Ames room, a courtyard whose exit is its own entrance. Cathedrals with real groin vaults, fan vaults, muqarnas. Cities at street level, in the rain, under water, hanging upside down from a ceiling. Ruins taken by roots, by sand, by ash, by ice. Every world was rendered and scored against every other for structural and chromatic similarity; a variant earns its place only by standing measurably apart from everything already in the catalogue.
On the big screen
Turn on Screen Mirroring and Antinode takes the screen for itself: full width, no interface, none of your phone showing. The phone stays the desk — scenes, intensity, speed, the hit.
Sending to a television is free, in every version, forever. It is the reason people tell each other about this app, and putting it behind a subscription would earn exactly the reviews it deserved.
Antinode Plus
Along with the full analysis engine, every control, and unlimited output to a television. Plus unlocks the remaining worlds and all five modulation schemes.

Antinode draws to the beat, and on loud music that means bright, repeating light. A flash limiter caps the rate and softens every burst; it is offered on first run and follows the system's Reduce Motion setting. If you are sensitive to flashing, leave it on. This page follows the same setting.
